FAQs

Do I need a referral from my doctor for pelvic physical therapy?

In the state of Texas, a referral from a doctor is not necessary in order to obtain a physical therapy evaluation.  This means that you can schedule your physical therapy evaluation without a referral order signed by your provider.  A  referral order is required 10 days post-evaluation and will be requested by Dr. Logan from your provider.

Do you accept insurance?

In order to provide the highest quality and most holistic care, Reclaim Physical Therapy & Wellness is not in network with insurance. Reclaim is a cash-pay provider and provides super bills for patients to submit on their own. It is the patient's responsibility to check their out of network insurance benefits prior to scheduling an appointment.  Accepted payment methods include HSA/FSA and debit/credit.

Why do you not accept my insurance?

Reclaim chooses to be an out of network provider because we believe our patients deserve individualized, one-on-one, holistic, and integrative care.  Pelvic physical therapy, in particular, requires a holistic approach to the body that insurance companies do not support or value. Insurance also dictates the number of visits and types of treatment patients can receive.  Being an out of network provider allows you and your physical therapist to determine the most appropriate plan of care for you to meet your goals, without the limits that insurance places on their customers.

Can I come to pelvic physical therapy when I’m on my period?

You can still come to your appointment if you are menstruating and it does not change anything as far as the care you will receive.  If you prefer external versus internal therapies while you are menstruating, Dr. Logan is happy to honor that request.  Pelvic physical therapy includes various types of therapies that your body can benefit from during your menstrual cycle, besides just internal pelvic floor therapy.
